Vasile Cazacu, Director of Balkan Pharmaceuticals, was invited to TVR Moldova to discuss the implementation of GMP (good manufacturing practice), the achievements in the field, but also the main issues faced by local pharmaceutical manufacturers.
“We had to adapt quickly to new market rules, but as a result, we’ve managed to achieve a greater quality for our products because the GMP rules require complex traceability, from raw material procurement, packaging, manufacturing, to pre-certification before placing the product on the market etc. In other words, the entire manufacturing chain of medicines is strictly monitored. To meet new requirements, Balkan Pharmaceuticals has launched a new drug factory that meets all the European GMP rigors” – Vasile Cazacu.
